They didn't have money to buy jerseys, but donated for charity after becoming World Champions
There is a reason why the world supports the West Indies cricket team. As the team, run by probably the poorest cricket board, won the T20 World Cup and became World Champion for the second time, fans of the sport from across the world erupted in joy.

Soon, a photo went viral on Facebook showing West Indies team manager Rawl Lewis donating to the Mother Teresa Missionaries of charity in Kolkata.
Remember, this is the same team that has been facing massive resistance their Cricket Board. The team didn’t even have their jerseys before the tournament started. They were printed in Kolkata by the team manager Rawl Lewis.
However, against all odds, the team went on to become the World Champions of the most popular version of modern cricket. While the win was a sheer display of willpower and unity, what followed has helped the team win millions of hearts.
We at Think Change India team salute them, and congratulate the West Indies team for the collective strength it has displayed. Hats off to you guys!
