Research & Environment Management Policy Institute is undergoing revival
Good news comes along for environment and climate change enthusiasts, as the Resource and Environment Management Policy Institute, which was founded in Patna 25 years ago and remained inactive for long, is undergoing revival.
“The institute was founded in 1989-90 and presently five members, including me, are active and revived it today,” Saryu Roy, who is the Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs minister in the Jharkhand government, announced.
One of the main aim and objective of the institute was to conduct research and studies in planning, development and management of all kinds of resources with special attention on protection, promotion and long term management of natural systems and environment quality.
The institute was formed with the mission to provide world-class training and advisory services on environmental management to enable and encourage civil society and government to safeguard and manage natural resources effectively.
